I am an editor with ten years’ experience in children’s publishing. I started my career in the marketing department of Hachette Children’s Books, but quickly discovered my real passion was for editing. From there I joined the editorial team at Simon and Schuster Children’s Books. For the past seven years I have been an editor at Orion Children’s Books, editing and commissioning bestselling fiction from 5+ to YA.

 

During my time at Orion Children’s Books, I have worked with some hugely talented and successful authors, such as Francesca Simon, Sally Gardner, Phil Earle, Kate Pankhurst, Liz Kessler, Linda Chapman, Maudie Smith, Dawn Kurtagich and Leigh Bardugo.

 

As a freelance editor, my aim is to offer a high quality editorial service to writers, publishers and agents alike. I also work with The Golden Egg Academy, providing advice and mentoring for aspiring writers.
